Kamya Patel:

March 2021 to March 2023
I am co-supervised a Masters student Kamya Patel. Kamya is currently doing her Masters focusing on plastic ingestion in gannets, shags and albatrosses, looking at it from a sensory perspective. I have taught her how to dissect birds, apply for grants and use various types of equipment.

I have given a guest lecture on seabird diversity in New Zealand for the BIOSCI 338 class at the University of Auckland in May 2022
Teaching and supervison
Volunteers and Interns, BirdCare Aotearoa
Since 2021, I have been teaching and supervising new volunteers and interns at BirdCare Aotearoa how to handle and care for birds. I have supervised and taught approximately 10 volunteers and interns.
Lab demonstrator
Undergraduate students, University of Auckland
I am a teaching assistant and lab demonstrator for BIOSCI 207 and 337 at the University of Auckland. I have been lab demonstrating since 2019 to present for BISOCI 207 and will lab demonstrate BIOSCI 337 in 2022.
